Revanth Reddy assures support for Musi River Front affected families

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy assured support and rehabilitation for families affected by the Musi River Front project and said the government will ensure that no one suffers losses due to development works.

He said the government will provide proper compensation to people who lose land or houses under the project. The Chief Minister also stressed that authorities will ensure that no family becomes homeless.

Revanth Reddy made the statement after laying the foundation stone for the Radial Road-2 interchange connecting Budvel Layout. He later inaugurated an Eco Park at Kotwalaguda and addressed a public meeting in the area.

The Chief Minister said several major infrastructure projects require land acquisition. These include the Regional Ring Road, radial road networks and proposed high-speed rail corridors.

Musi River Front project to transform polluted river

Revanth Reddy said the government understands that people may face hardship when they lose land for development projects. Therefore, he assured that compensation will be sufficient for families to purchase land elsewhere.

He also said the government will construct houses for affected families under the Indiramma housing programme within their respective constituencies.

According to the Chief Minister, the Musi River has suffered severe pollution for many years. Therefore, the government plans to transform the Musi River Front and improve living conditions around the river.

He said the state will develop the Musi River Front on the lines of riverfront projects in Ahmedabad, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.

The Chief Minister added that the project will generate employment and increase economic activity in surrounding areas.

He also said the government plans to promote night tourism along the riverfront and create business opportunities for local residents.

Revanth Reddy further announced plans to develop a major urban project called Bharat Future City near Shamshabad.

He said the region could emerge as a future hub for bullet train connectivity linking cities such as Bengaluru, Amaravati, Pune and Chennai.

Earlier, the Chief Minister visited Eco Hill Park and inaugurated the Birds Aviary facility as part of the programme.

Members of Parliament Mallu Ravi and K. Vishweshwar Reddy attended the event. Legislative Council Chief Whip P. Mahender Reddy and other public representatives were also present.
