New Delhi: Rahul Gandhi held a Rahul Gandhi meeting with Mahesh Kumar Goud in Delhi to review political developments and party organisation in Telangana.
The meeting lasted around 15 minutes. During the discussion, Mahesh Kumar Goud briefed Rahul Gandhi on development works and welfare schemes in the state. He also explained recent political developments and their impact on the party.
Mahesh Kumar Goud highlighted efforts to strengthen the Congress structure across Telangana. He said the party has focused on building organisational capacity at multiple levels. These steps aim to improve coordination and outreach.
Rahul Gandhi meeting reviews Telangana organisation plans
During the Rahul Gandhi meeting, Mahesh Kumar Goud shared details on appointments within the party. He explained the selection of DCC presidents and the formation of district and mandal committees. He also outlined the appointment of booth-level agents and members of affiliated organisations.
He informed Rahul Gandhi about the caste census conducted in the state. He said the exercise followed earlier commitments and produced detailed data. According to him, the data will support policy decisions and future planning.
Mahesh Kumar Goud also raised key national policy issues. He urged Rahul Gandhi to include BC reservations in the Women’s Reservation Bill. In addition, he requested that the AICC National OBC Advisory Council meeting be held in Hyderabad. Rahul Gandhi responded positively to both proposals.
The leaders discussed strategies to strengthen the party ahead of future political challenges. They focused on improving organisational efficiency and maintaining consistent engagement with the public.
Earlier, V. Hanumantha Rao and Anil Yadav also met Rahul Gandhi in Delhi to discuss party affairs.
