Revanth Reddy condemns Meenakshi Natarajan nomination rejection

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Monday condemned the rejection of the Meenakshi Natarajan nomination for the Rajya Sabha from Madhya Pradesh and accused the BJP of undermining democratic values.

In a statement, Revanth Reddy alleged that a conspiracy by the BJP led to the rejection of the nomination. He claimed that the development represented a new form of political manipulation after allegations related to vote theft and voter list irregularities.

The Chief Minister described the incident as an assault on democracy. He said the voices of the people were being suppressed through actions that weakened democratic institutions.

According to Revanth Reddy, the incident marked a dark day for Indian democracy. He urged citizens across the country to condemn the development and defend democratic principles.

Meenakshi Natarajan nomination row sparks criticism

Revanth Reddy alleged that the BJP had resorted to “seat theft” after earlier controversies related to electoral processes. He maintained that democratic systems must function transparently and fairly.

Furthermore, he said political differences should not result in actions that restrict representation or undermine public trust in democratic institutions.

The Chief Minister reiterated that the Congress would continue its fight for justice. He also asserted that the party would oppose any move it viewed as harmful to democratic values and public representation.
