Bihar: Union MSME Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi and Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary will lay the foundation stone for the MSME Technology Centre Gaya at Khizarsarai on June 15 with an investment of Rs 170 crore.
The new facility aims to strengthen MSME capabilities in southern Bihar and the Magadh region. The ceremony will begin with a traditional Bhoomi Pujan. Senior officials from the MSME Ministry and Bihar government will also attend the event.
The Centre will come up on a 20-acre plot provided by the state government. It will include production, training, administrative and utility blocks, a multipurpose hall, hostel and staff accommodation.
MSME Technology Centre Gaya to provide advanced services
The Centre will support sectors such as general engineering, heavy engineering and textile testing. It will serve MSMEs in Gaya, Aurangabad, Nawada, Nalanda, Jehanabad and Munger districts.
Moreover, the facility will offer CNC machining, CAD/CAM/CAE services, rapid prototyping, Industry 4.0 laboratories and renewable energy solutions. It will also conduct programmes in artificial intelligence, IoT, automation, data analytics and quality control.
Additionally, the Centre will provide advisory services covering market research, digital marketing, product development, automation and regulatory compliance.
The project aims to train around 7,000 people every year through industry-oriented courses. Furthermore, it will support over 1,000 local MSMEs annually through tooling and job work activities.
The government expects the Centre to bridge technology gaps, connect local industries with global supply chains and accelerate economic growth in the Magadh region.
