Reforms Utsav & Chintan Shivir 2026 to shape legal reform roadmap
New Delhi: Reforms Utsav 2026 will bring senior officials of the Ministry of Law and Justice together at Mount Abu on July 4 and 5. The event will review legal reforms and prepare a roadmap for a modern, citizen-centric legal system.
The Department of Legal Affairs and the Legislative Department will jointly organise the programme at Gyan Sarovar, the Brahma Kumaris Headquarters in Rajasthan. Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal will attend the event.
The Ministry said the programme will review key achievements. It will also assess ongoing reforms and identify future priorities that support the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
The inaugural session will present the Ministry’s vision for an efficient legal ecosystem. In addition, participants will discuss ways to improve governance, strengthen institutions and enhance public services.
Reforms Utsav 2026 to focus on digital transformation
The programme includes sessions on legal governance, Alternate Dispute Resolution (ADR), legislative reforms and digital transformation. It will also cover Artificial Intelligence, technology-enabled governance, capacity building and administrative excellence.
Officials will exchange ideas and identify practical reforms. Further, they will recommend measures to improve the legal and legislative framework. They will also examine innovative ways to strengthen transparency and efficiency.
The Ministry expects the event to produce a Vision Document and several reform proposals. Moreover, it aims to prepare recommendations for institutional improvements and a roadmap for digital transformation. The programme will also identify short- and medium-term action points for implementation.
Senior officers from both departments will participate in the discussions. Overall, the Ministry said Reforms Utsav 2026 reflects its commitment to innovation, good governance and institutional excellence. Ultimately, the initiative aims to build a transparent, efficient and future-ready legal ecosystem in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
