New Delhi: The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment said the SEED Scheme covered more than 1.10 lakh beneficiaries during 2025-26 and released ₹53.06 crore to support education, healthcare and livelihood initiatives for Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic communities.
The Ministry implements the programme in collaboration with the Development and Welfare Board for De-notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Communities. The initiative promotes education, entrepreneurship, healthcare and sustainable livelihood opportunities across the country.
Secretary Sudhansh Pant said the scheme has improved access to education and encouraged entrepreneurship. He added that it has also helped beneficiaries strengthen their livelihoods and improve household incomes.
SEED Scheme strengthens education and livelihoods
Pant said the programme has enabled beneficiaries to pursue higher education, expand businesses and build sustainable careers. Moreover, he noted that the initiative supports inclusive growth by creating new economic opportunities for disadvantaged communities.
He said the scheme continues to help individuals and families achieve their aspirations through financial assistance and skill development. As a result, many beneficiaries have progressed in education, entrepreneurship and professional careers.
The Ministry said success stories from different parts of the country demonstrate the scheme’s contribution to socio-economic development. It added that the initiative remains focused on improving education, healthcare, entrepreneurship and livelihood opportunities for Denotified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic communities.
