Indiramma housing scheme sees ₹48.79 crore bill release

Hyderabad: The government released ₹48.79 crore under the Indiramma housing scheme to 4,473 beneficiaries, linking payments to construction progress.

Housing Corporation Managing Director V P Gautam said officials stepped up efforts to speed up bill disbursal. Consequently, teams issued payments every week based on construction stages.

During the past week, authorities paid ₹17.23 crore to 1,969 beneficiaries who completed roof-level work. Meanwhile, they disbursed ₹31.56 crore to 2,504 beneficiaries who reached slab level.

Officials said the Indiramma housing scheme ensured steady fund flow by tying payments to work progress. Moreover, this approach helped maintain construction momentum across districts.

Authorities said the government was moving towards its target of completing one lakh houses. They monitored each stage closely to ensure timely financial support.

So far, officials have disbursed ₹5,376.22 crore under the programme. The scheme provides assistance of up to ₹5 lakh per house in phases.

Out of the total, ₹2,125.98 crore went for basement-level work. In addition, ₹1,518.51 crore supported roof-level completion. Further, ₹1,731.73 crore was released for slab construction.

Across the state, authorities grounded 2.65 lakh houses under the programme. Meanwhile, 1,13,365 houses reached slab level and 34,552 houses progressed to roof level.

Officials said 61,000 houses completed the basement stage. Therefore, the government continued to push construction and financial support under the Indiramma housing scheme.
