MY Bharat record earns Guinness World Records recognition

New Delhi: MY Bharat record earned Guinness World Records recognition after 390,812 participants successfully completed an online quiz within one week, Union Youth Affairs and Sports Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced on Wednesday.

The recognition came under the category of “Most Users to Take an Online Quiz in One Week.” Guinness World Records officials presented the certificate at a ceremony held at Shram Shakti Bhawan in New Delhi.

Mandaviya said the achievement belonged to the youth of India and reflected their trust in the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047. He added that MY Bharat had emerged as a platform that enabled young people to contribute ideas and participate in nation-building.

The record was achieved through the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue Quiz. The initiative aimed to increase awareness and participation among youth regarding India’s long-term development goals.

Officials said more than 50.42 lakh young people from all 28 states and eight Union Territories participated in the exercise. The programme became one of the largest digital youth engagement initiatives conducted in the country.

MY Bharat record highlights youth participation

Mandaviya said MY Bharat had recorded 2.19 crore registrations within three years. He noted that thousands of young people continued to join the platform every day.

The Minister said the portal served as a credible space for youth engagement, leadership development and community participation. He also stated that ideas shared through the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders’ Dialogue influenced discussions reflected in the Union Budget 2026.

Secretary, Department of Youth Affairs, Pallavi Jain Govil said the platform encouraged voluntary and meaningful participation by young citizens across India.

During the official assessment period from October 25 to October 31, 2025, the portal recorded more than 8.39 lakh quiz participations. Guinness World Records later conducted digital forensic audits, evidence verification and record scrutiny before certifying 390,812 eligible participants.

Officials said the achievement demonstrated the government’s efforts to use digital technology for youth engagement and citizen participation. They added that the recognition strengthened MY Bharat’s role as a national platform for volunteering, experiential learning and leadership development.

The Ministry said the Guinness World Records recognition marked a major milestone in India’s efforts to promote youth empowerment while advancing the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.
