Hyderabad: State minister Ponnam Prabhakar on Monday urged villagers to ensure a decisive victory for Congress-backed candidates in the third phase panchayat elections. He said strong leadership at the village level was essential for sustained development.
Addressing villagers, the minister said the Telangana Praja Palana government was firmly committed to rural progress. Under Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s leadership, the government aimed to take every village forward. He added that welfare schemes were now reaching people at the grassroots.
Moreover, Ponnam Prabhakar said several initiatives had already begun changing lives in villages. These included fine rice distribution, new ration cards, and Indiramma house sanctions. In addition, the government provided free electricity up to 200 units to eligible households.
Third phase panchayat elections key to village development
The minister further said the government supported women through interest-free loans to self-help groups. At the same time, women benefited from free travel on RTC buses. According to him, these steps strengthened livelihoods and expanded access to opportunities.
Meanwhile, Ponnam Prabhakar stressed that village-centric growth remained the government’s top priority. He said the Congress administration would soon roll out more welfare schemes. Therefore, he urged voters to keep public welfare in mind while casting their votes.
Finally, the minister appealed to people to give a strong mandate to Congress candidates in the third phase panchayat elections. He said such support would speed up development and improve delivery of government schemes at the village level.
