Gaza City exodus grows as Israel pushes offensive

Hyderabad: An exodus of civilians from Gaza City is underway as Israel pressed its offensive on Sunday. Prime Minister Netanyahu said over 100,000 people have already left.

He accused Hamas of stopping people from leaving by using them as shields, claiming women and children were fired upon.

City residents told to move south

The IDF earlier called on residents to evacuate, designating Gaza City a combat zone and a Hamas hub. Soldiers are now advancing inside.

Israel said it established humanitarian zones in southern Gaza with food, tents, water, and medical care. Safe routes for vehicles were announced.

The UN believes about one million Palestinians remain. Aid agencies warned the mass movement could spark a deeper humanitarian emergency, as the safe zone was declared only by Israel.
