TGSRTC bus tickets available on Meeseva app

Hyderabad: TGSRTC bus tickets are now available on the Meeseva MeTicket mobile application, expanding digital access to both long-distance and city transport services across Telangana.

Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar launched the application at the Secretariat on Tuesday. Senior officials including Transport Special Secretary Vikas Raj, TGSRTC Vice Chairman and Managing Director Y. Nagi Reddy, and Meeseva Commissioner Ravikiran attended the event.

The MeTicket app integrates the Online Passenger Reservation System (OPRS), enabling passengers to book intercity and long-distance services seamlessly. Currently, commuters can access 1,710 OPRS services through the platform. These include 450 air-conditioned services and 1,260 non-AC services operating to major destinations.

On average, nearly 13,000 seats are booked daily under OPRS. Popular routes include Bengaluru, Tirupati, Visakhapatnam, Vijayawada, Mancherial, Khammam, Adilabad, Asifabad and Warangal. Therefore, the integration with Meeseva significantly improves booking convenience.

TGSRTC bus tickets and passes go digital

In addition to reservations, the app allows users to obtain and renew five categories of city bus passes within Greater Hyderabad. As a result, commuters can complete monthly pass transactions directly through their mobile devices.

The City Ordinary Pass costs Rs 1,400 per month, while the Metro Express Pass is priced at Rs 1,600. Similarly, the Metro Deluxe Pass costs Rs 1,800. The Green Metro Luxury AC pass is available for Rs 2,200, whereas the Pushpak AC pass costs Rs 5,000 per month.

Monthly sales figures indicate strong demand. City Ordinary records around 8,000 passes, while Metro Express leads with 46,500 monthly sales. Moreover, Metro Deluxe sees approximately 12,000 sales. Green Metro Luxury and Pushpak register 100 and 450 passes respectively.

Importantly, the app also offers the T24 digital ticket for Hyderabad and Secunderabad. This 24-hour pass allows unlimited travel on select services from the time of activation. Currently, daily T24 sales average 16,830 tickets.

Officials stated that the digital rollout aims to simplify access, reduce physical queues and promote cashless transactions. Overall, the initiative marks another step toward modernising Telangana’s public transport services.
