Hyderabad: Labour, Employment and Mines Minister Dr. G. Vivek Venkatswamy said the government will explore the proposal to build Christian Bhavan Hyderabad and raise the matter with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy.
The minister said he would request the government to grant approval for the project. He added that authorities would identify a suitable and dispute-free location before starting construction.
Vivek Venkatswamy said the state government remains committed to addressing the concerns of the Christian community. Therefore, he assured that officials would examine the proposal carefully.
The minister made these remarks while inaugurating the office of the Global Christian Law Board at Mettuguda in Hyderabad on Monday.
Christian Bhavan Hyderabad plan discussed during law board event
Speaking at the event, Vivek Venkatswamy described the establishment of the Global Christian Law Board as a positive step. He expressed hope that the board would help resolve issues faced by members of the Christian community.
The minister said the initiative aimed to support poor and needy Christians. Moreover, he noted that the board could provide legal assistance to people who require support.
He also highlighted the importance of women’s development within the community. According to him, empowering women will contribute to the welfare of the Christian minority.
Therefore, the minister urged Christian women to utilise welfare schemes introduced by the state government. He said these programmes aim to improve social and economic opportunities for minority communities.
