Hyderabad: Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University signed Memorandums of Understanding with Renova Institute of Health Care Management and RVM Institute of Hospital Management to launch a healthcare MBA programme in Hospital and Healthcare Management.
The agreements were signed on Monday at the BRAOU campus in the presence of Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani and senior university officials.
Registrar Dr. L. Vijaya Krishna Reddy exchanged the MoUs with Dr. Wajeehuddin Ahmed Waris, Principal of Renova Institute of Health Care Management, and Sri P. Ravinder, Principal of RVM Institute of Hospital Management.
The university said the collaboration would strengthen academic partnerships in hospital and healthcare management education.
Healthcare MBA programme introduced through MoUs
Several senior faculty members and officials attended the programme organised at the university campus.
Those present included Prof. G. Pushpa Chakrapani, Director (Academic), and Prof. Anand Pawar, Dean of Commerce and Business Management.
Prof. D. Rabindranath Solomon, Officer on Special Duty to the Vice-Chancellor, also attended the event.
Dr. Y. Venkateswarlu, Director of LSSB, Prof. Y.S. Kiranmaye, Dr. P. Radhakrishna, faculty members and representatives from both institutes participated in the signing ceremony.
University officials said the new academic collaboration would help expand professional education opportunities in healthcare management.
