Hyderabad: Telangana Government Advisor Mohammed Ali Shabbir said the state was pursuing a welfare-driven development model to fulfil public aspirations and honour the sacrifices made during the Telangana movement.
Addressing the official Telangana Formation Day celebrations in Adilabad on Tuesday, Shabbir Ali said the government aimed to deliver welfare schemes, development projects and essential services to people in a transparent and time-bound manner. He added that progress would be meaningful only when benefits reached farmers, women, students, workers, minorities, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes.
Paying tributes to Telangana martyrs, he said the state emerged after years of struggle and sacrifice. Therefore, building a prosperous and inclusive Telangana would be the most fitting tribute to those who fought for statehood.
