NAREDCO Telangana signs MoU with ESCI for skill development

Hyderabad: NAREDCO Telangana signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Engineering Staff College of India to strengthen skill development in the construction and infrastructure sectors.

Officials said the agreement aimed to create a future-ready workforce for Hyderabad’s expanding real estate and urban infrastructure ecosystem.

The partnership will introduce globally aligned training programmes for professionals working in construction, infrastructure development and project management.

NAREDCO Telangana president Koppula Sreedhar Reddy said Hyderabad was entering a major growth phase driven by rapid infrastructure expansion and urban development projects.

According to him, the collaboration with ESCI would help produce technically skilled professionals capable of meeting international construction standards.

He also stated that the initiative would strengthen quality, sustainability and efficiency in urban development projects across Telangana.

Officials said the partnership would focus on improving workforce capabilities through structured learning programmes and technical certification courses.

Meanwhile, Engineering Staff College of India representative Dr G. Rameshwar Rao said the institution remained committed to strengthening technical expertise through industry-oriented training systems.

He added that the collaboration would support development of specialised courses tailored for the real estate and infrastructure sectors.

Industry representatives said Hyderabad’s fast-growing construction market increased the need for professionally trained manpower and globally benchmarked technical standards.

The partnership will introduce certification courses, training modules and capacity-building initiatives across different segments of the construction industry.

Officials said the programmes would focus on sustainability practices, emerging technologies and modern construction methods.

The initiative will also support training in project planning, quality management and infrastructure execution standards.

NAREDCO Telangana stated that institutionalising skill development remained important for sustaining Hyderabad’s growth as a major real estate and urban innovation hub.

Officials added that stronger industry-academia partnerships would help bridge skill gaps and improve employment opportunities for young professionals entering the construction sector.

The organisation also said the collaboration would help align workforce training with evolving industry requirements and future infrastructure demands.

Industry observers described the agreement as a significant step towards improving technical standards and long-term workforce preparedness in Telangana’s construction ecosystem.
